What kind of card game is it?

The object of the game is to become the biggest fish by eating smaller fish and defending yourself against bigger fish. But at the same time you have to block your opponents of becoming bigger. This is a game of cooperation, tactic, strategic and luck. Exciting and fun to play. The game can be played in different ways to adapt it to the age of the players.

How do you play Fish Food?

The game of Fish Food consists of action cards and encounter cards.

With action cards you can make yourself stronger or your attacker weaker. But you have to use your action cards also to make the attackers of your opponents stronger.     The encounter cards show you the fish that attacks you or a certain event, like Tsunami or Shipwreck. These events can mix up the game, so be careful out there.

Game with younger children: In the easy game you leave out the action cards and the game becomes a good practice in recognizing numbers, counting and easy addition/subtraction. See if your fish becomes the biggest without the strategic and tactic part.

Game with children 7 years and up: The beginner game adds a few action cards which add the strategic part of the game. Tease your opponents and use your cards smart. This is a good way to get familiar with the game without having to worry about the finer strategic points.

Game with children 8 years and up: The full game adds all the cards and the strategic part becomes smarter and keener. Think about your possibilities to play your cards wise or save them for later.
You have to be smarter than your friends to become the biggest fish. And there is still some luck left 😉 The game becomes a real family game that adults will enjoy too.

This game is interesting for young and old. Fish Food features a nice mixture of luck, problem solving and strategy, that makes it  a kid’s card game not to compare with any other!

Why is it not on the market?

This kids card game is developed a few years ago by a creative dad who played it with his friends and family. It became a local hit, but it is very difficult to bring a new game to the market. Best Children’s Games discovered this pearl and tested it with friends and family to see if it is worth to bring it to the market and we feel this is a real treasure!

One of our game testers declared it “the best game ever!” (8 years old) and another player called it “a real fun game” (11 years old).

We tested it, re-tested it and played it. Fish Food is a well-designed game en well tested by several groups. And then we thought it was time to get the word out and bring it to the attention of my readers.
