Find the rules of Liars Dice Game here. Who can bluff the best? Also known as Doubting Dice. An exciting and fun poker game for the whole family and kids as well.

Number of Players: 3 or more

Age Range: 6 years and older

Materials: 5 dice (this may be poker dice or standard dice) ,a throwing cup and counters (5 for each player)

How to Play:

    • Players have to conceal their dice from the other players, so a throwing cup can be handy.

    • Throwing order is determined by all the players throwing the five dice and the one with the highest hand goes first. The second highest after and so on.

    • The first player throws the five dice and while the dice stay concealed, he announces his hand. This can be the actual hand or a complete lie of a higher or lower ranking hand. (see scoring below)

    • The next player can accept the hand, but he can also challenge it.

    • If a challenge is made, the player reveals his hand. If the challenger was right and the dice show a hand ranking lower than the announced hand, the challenged player puts a counter into the pot. If the challenged player was right, the dice show a hand ranking equal or higher than the announced hand, then the challenger puts a counter into the pot.

    • If the next player accept the announced hand, without challenging it, the dice are passed through while concealed. The player can take a look and may throw one or more dice again and he then has to announce a hand ranking higher than the previous one. He must tell how many dice he throws again without lying.

    • The game continues to the next player until a challenge is made. The challenger starts the next round.

    • Players are out of the game, when they don’t have any counters anymore. The last player with a counter wins.

Variation:

Players are allowed to throw the dice three times before announcing their hand. They can chose how many of the dice they throw again and put aside the ones they would like to keep.
